The rolling hills are perfect for a cycling vacation in Limburg. From our park, you can cycle to bustling Maastricht or Valkenburgin less than 30 minutes. Ride the Amstel Gold Race routes on a road bike or follow the junction system on an e-bike. During your cycling vacation in Limburg, you set the pace entirely on your own. One thing is certain: after every challenging climb, that well-deserved Limburg vlaai or that cold craft beer tastes even better. After an active day, you’ll return to your own campsite or cottage. With sweeping views of the hills, this is the ideal base from which to relax and reflect on the kilometers you’ve covered.

The most beautiful bike routes starting from our park

EuroParcs Poort van Maastricht is located in Berg en Terblijt, which means you’re literally staying in the heart of Dutch cycling. The Geulhemmerberg is just around the corner, the Bemelerberg is right across the way, and the Cauberg is right next door.

The best cycling events:

    Amstel Gold Race

    Dit is hét hoogtepunt van het jaar. Het park is de perfecte uitvalsbasis hiervoor, omdat je al op het parcours zit! De profs finishen in Vilt (wat praktisch tegen Berg en Terblijt aan ligt).

    Limburgs Mooiste

    Dit enorme fietsevenement (meestal in mei of juni) trekt duizenden toerfietsers. Met start en finish in de regio (Heerlen/Valkenburg) kun je kiezen uit diverse uitdagende lussen door het Heuvelland.

    Internationale etappekoersen

    Grote rondes zoals de Simac Ladies Tour (vrouwen) of de Renewi Tour (mannen) kiezen Zuid-Limburg en Valkenburg vrijwel elk jaar uit voor een spectaculaire heuveletappe of tijdrit.

After an active day on the bike, there’s nothing better than relaxing. You can do just that on your own spacious 90 m² camping or RV site, which comes standard with its own water hookup, drain, and CAI connection. Don’t have your own camping gear? No problem! Our fully furnished chalets, cozy tiny houses, and glamping tents make the perfect base. No matter where you stay, one thing is certain: you’re guaranteed to enjoy a stunning view of Limburg’s rolling hills.

What are some nice bike routes around the park?

The “Via Belgica” & Maastricht Route: Take the rural cycle paths to reach the center of Maastricht in less than 25 to 30 minutes. You’ll cycle past beautiful castles (such as Vaeshartelt Castle) and along flatter bike paths beside the Meuse River. Perfect to combine with lunch at the Vrijthof!

Along the Geul to Valkenburg: a delightful, short, and relatively flat route that takes you along the Geul River straight to the charming center of Valkenburg. Along the way, you’ll pass idyllic outdoor cafes and historic water mills.

Can we rent bikes at the park?

Don't have your own bike? No problem! At our park, you can easily rent comfortable e-bikes, sporty mountain bikes, kids' bikes, and cargo bikes. That way, you can explore the beautiful surroundings at your own pace.
